Hello, my name is Karla Barrera.

I graduated from WSU in 1994. I have been serving the Senior Community since that time in various positions. I worked at Myers mortuary for over 10 years specializing in pre-need funeral plans.

I have also served as a marketer for home care and hospice agencies. With having all of that experience and expertise in many areas of senior care, I felt that being an Insurance Agent and helping others to understand their Medicare was a perfect way to serve others. My elderly parents lived with me for 7 years and I am very aware of the many of challenges people face as they age. I have always had a passion for photography, so I have specialized in photos with seniors. I’m attaching a few fun shots below.

Back in 2012, while pumping gas into my car at the local 7-11, I saw a guy in the next bay over also fueling up and he was wearing this incredibly bright Gold Shirt. Being the outgoing person that I am and due to the fact that I love bright colors, I went over and introduced myself and asked what he did for a living. He introduced himself as Max Nichols and told me that he gets to help people with their Insurance and Medicare Insurance needs and that he loves it! We exchanged business cards and a few weeks later I reached out to him again and he showed me this amazing opportunity to help people. It is so wonderful for me to meet these people and I thrive on getting to know them and help them get things just right for them and their loved ones!

I have been married to my best friend for over 34 years and we have two children and five granddaughters. We love to take trips to Disneyland as a family and having fun together!
