Karla Barrera

 Hello, I'm Karla Barrera.

I graduated from WSU in 1994 and have dedicated my career to serving the senior community in various roles since then. For over 10 years, I worked at Myers Mortuary specializing in pre-need funeral plans. Additionally, I've served as a marketer for home care and hospice agencies, gaining extensive experience in senior care. Drawing on my diverse background, becoming an Insurance Agent focusing on Medicare felt like the perfect way to continue serving others. I had the opportunity to care for my elderly parents for 7 years. This helped me understand, first hand, the challenges that people face as they age. 

One thing that I truly enjoy is Photography. It has always been a passion of mine, particularly capturing moments with seniors. I have been able to do many events where I got to take individual photos for so many great people!

In 2012, while fueling up at a local 7-11, I met Max Nichols, who was wearing a striking gold shirt. Intrigued by his vibrant personality and shared passion for helping others with insurance and Medicare needs, we connected. This encounter led me to embark on a rewarding journey of assisting people with their insurance decisions.

Outside of work, I have two children and five granddaughters who bring us immense joy. Family trips to Disneyland are among our favorite ways to have fun and create lasting memories together.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet and assist people, helping them find the right solutions for themselves and their loved ones.
